As a result we are looking to employ a Careers Consultant to strengthen our existing team. You will be responsible for managing and delivering holistic employability initiatives that are customer focussed, cost effective and efficient, supporting the strategic direction of the Employability Service and the wider University strategic aims.
You will be required to hold a recognised qualification in careers guidance, a qualification in management and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a similar function. You will be analytical and possess an ability to build effective relationships and to manage people.
Experience of leading on and managing employer events, jobs fairs and centrally managed programmes of careers delivery in the FE or HE sector would be desirable, as would a proven track record in initiating change and continuous improvement.
As part of this role there will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends when specified in order to support student events and activities.
This is a full time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
