This Business Development Manager - MIPV position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive sales plan for MIPV division and winning new clients for Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance services. Creating and building new client relationships while upholding the Company Mission and Values will be critical to success.Essential Functions Include:Provide input and direction regarding regional sales plans in support of organizational strategy and objectives.Develop and write proposals for submission to clients when necessary.Conduct sales follow-up and order closing with customers.Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities. Identify new sales channels/opportunities. Work with Business Development Management and Marketing Department to coordinate promotions, participate in trade shows and conferences and promote new product launches with customers.Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices. Provide general booking forecasts and sales reports in CRM.Assist in managing related business and travel expenses within budgets. Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses. Perform market research and analysis.Work closely with management to execute sales plans.Deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.Utilize internal data tracking tools to record and monitor ongoing sales activities and to produce sales metrics reports as needed. Ensure communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements. Extensive travel required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have:B.S./B.A. from accredited university.Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales/business development.Must have proven track-record of outstanding sales/business development performance.Must have or develop thorough knowledge of Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information business requirements and company services.Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner with clients and coworkers.Ability to travel to prospective and current client sites as needed to meet objectives.Must understand industry-based drug information practice, post-marketing surveillance and product complaint reporting.Must possess excellent planning, organizing and project management skills.Excellent writing skills.Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes.Strong negotiation skills.Ability to think ahead and plan strategically. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Technical skills in strategic planning and sales planning. Strong customer orientation. Ability to work well with other team members. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess and resolve difficult business situations.Quality orientation and high attention to detail.Commitment to company values.
