If so, we at Watford Community Housing have an immediate position available for a Senior Neighbourhood Officer to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Your Senior Neighbourhood Officer Role
As Senior Neighbourhood Officer the purpose of your role will be to:
Take personal responsibility to ensure delivery of a high standard of customer service
Work closely with colleagues in other Customer Services Directorate teams.
Be responsible for ensuring tenancy/housing management services are delivered.
Ensure that tenancy/housing management services are responsive to customer needs.
Ensure key relationship management for customer processes is completed according to standards, policy and procedure, with ownership of the customer experience.
Ensure liaison for community stakeholders, including elected representatives and other public officers and agencies, is undertaken in a professional manner, acting as a point of escalation or resolution when required.
Ensure estate and health and safety compliance inspections are carried out and that the environment is well-maintained and that any contractual issues or minor jobs are raised with the Senior Estates and Contracts Officer.
Performance management and continuous improvement of the service and the customer experience.
Line management of Neighbourhood Officers, including supporting and developing individuals.
Ensure health and safety, equality, regulatory and legal compliance is adhered to.
Play a key role in Business Continuity and Emergency planning and response, which may include out of hours work.

For you to be able to fulfil the role of Senior Neighbourhood Officer you will need experience of:
Engaging effectively with a diverse audience using a diverse range of communication tools.
An established track record of delivering results and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Demonstrable experience of working in a customer focused social housing environment.
Handle conflict, difficult conversations and negotiations professionally and persuasively with customers, partners and contractors either face-to-face, by phone or online, including those who may be in difficult and/or emotionally charged situations.
Working collaboratively with team members and as part of a management team to resolve service issues and shape and drive service improvements to ensure a better customer experience.
Coaching colleagues and strong people management skills that can support and lead a team whilst also actively seeking feedback on own and team performance.
Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum
