retailTRUST is the oldest Trade Charity in the UK and was founded in 1832 by the appropriately named Thomas Helps, a successful London Merchant. Today, we support the 4.5 million people employed in retail and associated services and pride ourselves on helping people through provision of wellbeing services to proactively support people’s physical, emotional, financial and vocational needs.
We are seeking to appoint a Marketing Manager whose role will be to lead the optimisation of retailTRUST marketing activity, ensuring it is designed to promote the growth in services delivery and support revenue growth across all income streams.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, duties include, but are not limited to:
•Defining and executing a rolling 12 month marketing activity plan (web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media) that supports delivery of the commercial and service support objectives of, retailRIGHT, retailHUB, cottageHOMES and Fundraising.
•Setting, monitoring and reporting against marketing KPI’s that are focussed on outcome delivery.
•Using quantitative and qualitative learnings to continuously improve ROI.
•Working effectively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we exceed Operational Excellence metrics.
•Collaborating with the Business Insights team to ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of our customer and client base in order to ensure effectiveness of campaign messages.
•Working with the Communications Manager and Graphic Designer to develop innovative and creative targeted campaign executions with a clear call to action.
•Acting as first line steward of the Brand identity to ensure all external and internal communications support the values and enhance the reputation of the retailTRUST.
•Utilising strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points to optimise the plans.
•Using case studies to illustrate the positive impact and Social Return on Investment of the retailTRUST, increasing the engagement of customers and supporters.
•Overseeing production of internal and external publications, ensuring audience appropriate content is delivered on time and on budget.
•Collaborating with the Heads of Trading to provide toolkits to support revenue growth opportunities with both prospective and existing customers.
•Working with the Fundraising team to create collateral to support Fundraising Events, Challenges and other initiatives.
•Taking ownership for overseeing budgets, monitoring and communicating performance against agreed KPI’s to line management, and recommending corrective action where appropriate.
•Continuously evolve and innovate Marketing practices to capitalise on industry and sector trends and ensure the retailTRUST remain relevant to both customers and clients.
•Supporting the rigorous selection of appropriate suppliers and their ongoing management in line with internal processes, always acting to maintain the professional reputation of the retailTRUST.
The ideal person for this role must be an experienced marketer, someone who thinks ‘digital first’, but also appreciates the value of offline activity and the integration of the two.
•An analytical and data led mind-set is a must.
•Hands on experience of all areas of the marketing mix, including SEO, PPC, Social, email, Google Analytics and CRM tools.
•An outcome focused individual, able to translate marketing briefs into clearly actionable campaigns and measurable, value adding KPI’s.
•Well organised with effective project management skills, able to balance multiple demands on workload and agree priorities with line management.
•Creative and innovative, with a willingness to adopt a test and trial mentality, running A/B tests to ensure we continuously learn and improve campaign effectiveness.
•Excellent communication and relationship building skills, able to demonstrate a collaborative and flexible approach to working with stakeholders of all levels.
•A commercially aware marketer, with experience of managing and reporting against budgets and KPI’s.
We’ll pay up to £40,000 per annum dependant on experience and benefits include, a day’s birthday leave, pension scheme of up to 9% employer contributions, life assurance of four times your salary and Health Cash Plan.
