Digital Graphic Designer
£20,000 to £25,000 per annum
We are looking for an exciting and talented graphic designer to join our dynamic team of content creators. Our ideal candidate is someone who is both creative and productive, with the ability to combine great images with punchy and relevant marketing messages.
We need a proactive graphic designer who can create slideshows, banners and call to action images across a portfolio of websites relating to health, fitness, medical and safety products. They will be a post-production expert, capable of perfecting raw product images and pack shots. We have our own mini photography studio enabling a photo-creative individual to capture their own product shots when required.
The perfect candidate will work proactively with our copywriting team to ensure that product images, lifestyle shots, graphics text and typography achieve intended outcomes including product sales/conversions and blog views. They will understand the importance of graphics in terms of the user experience including calls to action, themes, branding and active and passive website colours. There will be a natural marketing intelligence to their design work, and they will not be afraid of suggesting design strategies, themes and messages to enhance the impact and interaction rate of the on-page visuals.
We are an e-commerce company with several successful websites across a number of industries, including healthcare, personal protective equipment, and sports and fitness. We are constantly launching new websites and moving into new sectors, and in order to fulfil our goal of growing our customer base and influence, we have a requirement for a talented graphic designer. Since the business was founded in 2008, it has developed from a one person operation to a thriving company with multiple departments and a multi-million pound turnover. We have a strong belief in the power of great graphics and imagery. Now we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented graphic designer to add to our family!

What Will the Role Include?
Creating spectacular slideshow banners for over 15 websites to ensure featured products and services are current, seasonal and relevant.
Creating eye catching title banners and side banners/towers for website category pages to help customers navigate to related content and products.
Post production work including image isolation, and touch ups.
Product and lifestyle shot photography when required using in house mini-studio and photography equipment.
Marketing email graphics creation.
Video editing (training provided).
Active involvement in ensuring brand consistency across all imagery.
Active involvement in marketing strategy discussions.
Creating graphical style guides for each website.
Taking part in creative team meetings focusing on content creation.
Social media channel graphics creation.
Other ad hoc graphics work.
What Are We Looking For?
What we need in a candidate:
Previous design experience.
High level Photoshop skills.
Experience using the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite of products (e.g. Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign).
Excellent communication skills – capable of generating and exchanging ideas for graphics.
Marketing skills – an understanding of what customers want and need to see.
Accuracy and attention to detail – the ability to align text, check spelling, ensure padding is even and use negative space effectively.
The ability to marry product images with lifestyle shots.
Fluency in English.

Degree in graphic design.
