Health and Social Care Trainer

The Skills Network are currently looking to collate a database of interested candidates of Trainers to join our rapidly growing Apprenticeships team. We are looking for outstanding individuals who would relish the opportunity to work within an established company with proven success in Apprenticeship delivery. This role will support and assess learners in completing Health and Social Care L2, L3 and L5 across Advanced Loans (level 3) and Apprenticeships (L2, L3 & L5) within agreed timescales.

The role• Deliver sector specific framework/standards qualifications• Deliver full training and support learners to achieve Functional Skills qualifications up to Level 2 (if required).• Manage a caseload of learners, providing customised high-quality delivery, mainly using remote delivery techniques• Visit each Apprentice in the workplace on a regular basis in order to assess their progress and deliver high-quality teaching sessions. You will also carry out remote sessions in between face to face visits with learners.• Devise an Individual Learning Plan for the learner that creates personalised learning to enable the learner to undertake the learner journey and achieve the required learning outcomes and new knowledge, skills, and behaviors.• To retain learners engaged in the programme and manage their learning and achievement in line with the targets and objectives agreed in their Individual Learning Plan.• Develop resources and materials for Apprenticeship framework/standards.• Create Schemes of Work and Session Plans and constantly look to stretch and challenge apprentices to learn and develop new knowledge, skills, and behaviors• To meet learning outcomes and improving soft skills in a flexible and appropriate manner within the environment within which they are located, to ensure achievement of standards in accordance with the TSN learner journey and timely achievement• Complete all appropriate documentation relevant to the standard and learners progress in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy and the requirements of the awarding body to ensure internal verification can be undertaken and funding can be claimed.• Plan and deliver high quality Formative and Summative assessment which monitors apprentice progress, leads to meaningful and challenging feedback and supports each apprentices preparation for Gateway and End Point Assessment• Be able to use and support learners using OneFile, CognAssist and Skills Forward (formally known as ForSkills)• Ensure learner progress reviews are of high quality and constantly challenge apprentices to develop new knowledge, skills, and behaviors. Ensure these reviews are kept up to date, accurate and include stretching targets that look to accelerate apprentice progress and progression• Ensure manager is notified of any learners at risk or any issues immediately and withdrawals are completed and submitted in a timely manner.• Play an active part in the promotion and awareness of Safeguarding of learners across the business and externally as appropriate, and to help prevent acts of radicalisation and extremism.• Include learning and teaching of Equality & Diversity in line with the qualification they are completing, and TSN policy and procedures relating to equality and diversity.• Ensure the well-being and safety of the learner throughout their period of learning• Carry out all duties and work in accordance with the TSN quality improvement procedures and in the spirit of the TSN Values.The candidate must have:• A degree or equivalent qualifications and competencies in the relevant sector or significant up to date industry experience to deliver the sector-specific apprenticeship frameworks/standards• Strong Digital Skills• Teaching/Training qualification at Level 3 (minimum) or willing to work towards a qualification• TAQA qualification• Experience working within education/training • Experience developing online materials would be desirable• Experience dealing with employers in a professional capacity• Ability to demonstrate sound experience using OneFile, CognAssist and Skills Forward (formally known as ForSkills)• Working experience and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, and Skype• You must be confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK• Clean Driving Licence• Must have own vehicle and willing to travel Nationwide (although we will endeavor to caseload all trainers in logical and appropriate localities in line with our nation locality plan)• Must be clean, smart and presentable at all times.
