Mechanical Fitter / Installation Engineer
Tyne and Wear
£22000 - £25000 per annum + 33 Days, Pension, Overtime
The key responsibility to this position is the mechanical assembly and building of plant and industrial machinery. Some works may require electromechanical assembly, although this will be simple connection work.
Other key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Ensuring all machinery is fitted correctly before testing and commissioning work is begun.
To maintain a clean and safe working environment in the factory.
To progress jobs so they meet timescales given.
Adhering to engineering drawings.
A minimum of 1 to 2 years of working experience in mechanical fitting/machine building.
Previous work using hand held tools and machinery would be advantageous.
A HND/HNC or Apprentice Served Qualification in a Mechanical Engineering field of study would be advantageous but is not essential.
Happy to be hands on and a high attention to detail required to ensure quality.
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Able to read technical/engineering drawings.
Maintaining Health and Safety Standards and promoting safe working conditions and practises.
Based within a commutable distance of the Tyne and Wear area.
Salary £22,000 £25,000pa dependent upon experience
Overtime usually available although not guaranteed
33 Days holiday including Bank Holidays
