Eden Scotts client, one of the UKs leading providers of investment management services, who pride themselves on delivering tailored service for every clients priorities, are looking for a Paraplanner to add to their Financial team. The role is based in their Glasgow office, with this exciting opportunity arising due to continual company growth.
Proactively and continually expand ones knowledge by investigating new developments in the tax, legal and planning world
Be responsible for creating and delivering high quality, compliant and timely advice to the financial planning department and clients, attending meetings and interacting when appropriate
Proactively work with the paraplanning manager and team colleagues to ensure best practice ideas are shared amongst the team
To highlight any improvements to processes, templates and tools to the paraplanning manager ensure that they are constantly improving the delivery of excellent client advice
Manage own work, set and meet realistic expectations given to advisers and managers. Ensure a commercial and pragmatic approach to workflow management
Actively contribute to the success of the team through adoption and promotion of new practices, positive outlook and teamwork.
To be responsible for delivering reports and advice to agreed deadlines and where necessary ensuring others provide their necessary input on time
The right candidate must have experience of working as part of a team of paraplanners with a paraplanning manager. Other requirements include:
Experience of working with centrally devised tools, templates and guidance
Experience of managing own work queue and being responsible for the quality of work produced
Experience within the following areas: Pension product, Bonds (on and offshore), Protection including whole of life, Experience of trusts, Enterprise Investment Scheme/Venture Capital Trusts/Business Property Relief, The tax regime Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax etc, Income Regime and how it would impact each client, Market participants and offerings * CII Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent is essential
CII Chartered Financial Planner status is desirable
AF3 or equivalent would be advantageous
