Quantitative Research Scientist
£75,000 £85,000 + benefits + bonus
This is a brandnew opportunity to be a part of a company that holds data science at its core and is expanding rapidly. Join a Data Science team that focuses on researching and innovating algorithms that generate insights on financial behaviour. As a Quantitative Research Scientist in this team, your primary motivation will be to explore cuttingedge techniques to deliver machine learning and deep learning solutions to the companys biggest problems.
This hedgefund is heavily invested in finding the next top Quantitative Research Scientists to develop upon already successful products using machine learning and deep learning techniques. With a clear vision and business plan, they understand that the only way for them to outcompete their rivals is by championing an advanced datadriven approach to better their platform.
Taking a forwardthinking, R&D approach to initiating a custom tool that is a hybrid of machine learning and deep learning to automate trading signals in realtime and to scale.
Leading your own projects into the exploration of large and never used before, complex data sets using Python and Python libraries
Building your advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms using Python and its libraries
Implementing your models, in Python and/or R, to increase revenue and provide a competitive edge for the company
An opportunity to learn from the Head of Research to develop strategy based on insights gained through innovating tools and techniques in Python and/or R
Opportunity to take on as much responsibility as you want people and project management responsibilities available
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Extensive experience using Python and/or R to build and develop machine and deep learning models
The successful candidate will have commercial experience delivering machine and deep learning models in industry using Python and/or R
A PhD in maths or stats from a top 20 university is essential, postdoc research experience is desirable
