Reference: A4040Description: Peninsula Arts sits within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Plymouth University. Its purpose is to champion and support the development and appreciation of high quality contemporary art and culture.
Peninsula Arts offers a wide ranging cultural programme encompassing exhibitions, lectures, music and theatre performances based across a number of venues including the Peninsula Arts gallery and the brand new performing arts venue, The House.
The role involves general clerical support for the programme with the main focus of the post on selling tickets for events, in person, on the telephone and through the website. There is also a requirement to provide management information to the Peninsula Arts director, using the box office systems.
You will have excellent customer service skills and be experienced at dealing with members of the public both face to face and on the telephone. There is an element of financial administration involved in the post. We are looking for someone with very good organisational and working IT skills.
You will have a professional approach and be able to look for opportunities to promote the Peninsula Arts brand and programme.

This is a part time post working 18.5 hours per week, working mainly in the afternoons on a permanent basis. There will be a need for some flexibility during particularly busy periods, which may include working evenings and weekends
