Essential:

Outgoing contractor required for this, great stakeholder engagement, technical and/or management background would be desirable. Good reporting and governance experience.

The role will require you to implement effective governance of product assurance (primarily clinical evaluation) within service provider towers and deliver high quality clinical evaluations for supply contracts within function dictated timeframes.

Drives iterative development of products through recommendations arising from product evaluation and engagement, influencing , responding to national policy and scoping of wider clinical developments

Works to coordinate and drive innovation and research by working collaboratively with national and international leaders in healthcare

Resposibilites



Drives iterative development of products through recommendations arising from product evaluation and engagement, influencing , responding to national policy and scoping of wider clinical developments

Ensure robust, consistent and standardised transparent procedures are followed for (clinical) product evaluation and quality assurance
Ensure appropriate feedback is reported to the senior management team to support with strategy sign off for each contract holder
Use early warnings indicators to proactively manage risk factors to ensure the Clinical and Product agenda is a priority within the service provider towers and across the NHS
Ensure the high standard of service to NHS customers that is expected is provided by the service provider towers
Grow and establish relationships with the service provider towers ensuring effective communication through twoway feedback
Provide expertise, knowledge and advice of best practice methodologies, regulatory requirements, policy imperatives, innovation and technological developments including utilising stakeholder knowledge and feedback as necessary

Drive individual high performance, establishing clear, challenging and achievable objectives
Takes responsibility for your own decisions and recognises the contribution of others
Coordinates with the wider national team aligning resources and efforts to drive the Clinical, Quality and Product Assurance strategies
Work closely with a team leader providing candid and regular feedback whilst actively seeking feedback to improve performance
Supports the development of others in the wider national Clinical and Product team, Customer Engagement team and the service providers and inspires others to develop themselves
Builds and maintains good working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including on business sensitive issues
Works closely with colleagues within the function and across the client in contract management, customer engagement and supply chain plus other areas of procurement to ensure a clinical influence is present in all decision making
Manages potentially antagonistic situations with staff and stakeholders within contract monitoring and product assurance process for successful outcomes
Acts as an ambassador for the project utilising appropriate opportunities to advocate clinical involvement in procurement
Champions continuous improvement and innovation
Takes personal responsibility for career and development
