Reference: A3932Description: Library & Digital Support (LDS) is recruiting to the post of Information Administration Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. You will co-ordinate and prioritise the work of the service-wide Information Administration team, with particular focus on the first-line information services & the learning environment within the Charles Seale-Hayne Library & Babbage Open Access IT facility.
You will be a member of the LDS Service Management group, and will support & develop the 7fte Team leaders who have day-to-day responsibility for service operation. You will also lead an ongoing review of the layout of services in the Charles Seale-Hayne Library and prepare the business case for any required changes.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that team leaders work together to anticipate, plan and deliver high-quality services, enabling the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the service. You must have a strong customer-service ethos, and enjoy the challenge of motivating, managing, and developing a large group of staff.
You must be qualified to further education level, with a relevant library/information or business management qualification, and good working knowledge of office application software. You will have previous work experience in a library/information or similar customer service environment, and be able to demonstrate skills in people management & team leadership. The role requires excellent verbal & written communication skills, good organisational skills, and effective problem-solving techniques, and previous experience of overseeing projects is highly desirable.

This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of maternity leave until September 2015 or the return of the post-holder, whichever is sooner.
