About the job
I am currently hiring for one of my key clients. They are a highly successful
SME level company, and they are creating some amazing,
They are looking to bring in a
Senior Hardware Engineer, to run a small team and help take their business to the next level. As the
Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be
in charge of:
R&D Review and test of products and components which will be of use in future designs
New product specification applying design understanding to business requirements
New product design specifically processor running Linux and associated peripheral circuits
Existing product development with specific emphasis on product cost reduction
Product certification both statutory and security approvals for global deployment
New Product Introduction helping to ensure smooth ramp into highvolume manufacture
Sales support feedback to presales on customer requirements and customisation requests
Some travel to manufacturing site in Poland (a couple of days, four or five times a year)
At least 3 years of relevant electronic design and development experience.
Circuit design: idea, requirements, part selection, schematics.
PCB Layout: multilayer design (with help from a layout house).
Experience using OrCAD and Allegro PCB design software
Experience in bringing a product to market, especially involvement in statutory approvals
Bluetooth, WiFi, USB and other comms. protocols
Working with production engineers
Design with security in mind. Eg processors with security modules, mesh lines etc.
