A leading manufacturer near Abingdon, Oxford is looking to recruit an Inventory Controller / Supply Chain Analyst on a years maternity cover starting in March 2019 with a view to potentially go permanent. Your role will be to collect and analyze supply chain data, identify problematic areas and suggest improvements in attainment of manufacturing and sales targets. Responsible for the management of stock and supplier data including Bills of Materials. SAP
Under the supervision of the Purchasing Director review, monitor and manage the companys ERP system (SAP).
Liaise with the QA Coordinator in collecting and analysing supplier chain data and report problematic suppliers and/or material to the Purchasing Director.
Work closely with the Companys Technical Department in the generation of new part numbers and compilation of product BOMs.
Assist in the management and effectiveness of the companies ECN process.
In consultation with other departments implement changes and system enhancements and promote the use of best practises
Identify improvements to SAP procedures to increase production efficiency and offline targets.
Work closely with the companys chosen IT provider in optimising the benefits of SAP.
Together with the purchasing team identify potential shortfalls and provide solution.
In conjunction with purchasing department ensure product stock is adequate to meet production targets.
In conjunction with purchasing department report weekly on stock shortages that are likely to impact our off line targets.
Process all stock transaction, and in conjunction with the Stores Manager maintain accuracy of stock by periodic cycle counting.
Collaborate with stores staff to ensure business goals are met.
Help develop and foster trusting relationship with our suppliers, and in conjunction with the companys QA Coordinator set realistic and attainable supplier KPIs.
Operates in accordance with the companys Health and Safety procedure, and other related company policies.
Proven experience as a supply chain professional within a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
An analytical mind with strong IT and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Good business acumen and a recognized business qualification
