Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Field Service Technician for our team based in Calne, working 45 hours a week.
The ideal Field Service Technician:
Proven hands on experience of the operation and maintenance of equipment relevant to role.
Practical experience of maintaining & testing Low Voltage systems.
Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance of large reciprocating powergen assets.
Practical experience of engine, plant process maintenance and diagnostics.
General engineering and operations experience in a heavy engineering environment.
City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Electro-mechanical Engineering.
Full driving license
Field Service Technician Responsibilities include:
Provide a regional maintenance service, with a focus on attending unscheduled breakdown of the Landfill Gas utilisation equipment.
Provide a regional 24/7 on call service to reset/re-start/repair when assets can't be remotely restarted
Be part of an on call rota to provide out of hours assistance to respond to unscheduled breakdowns of the Powergen Landfill Gas assets as directed by the Asset Analysts. This will include evenings and weekends.
Provide reactive fault-finding and troubleshooting skills to the Powergen Landfill Gas assets.
Maintain and maximise operational efficiency of all Powergen Landfill Gas assets.
Carry out high level fault diagnosis, reporting and rectifying as required.
Be pro-active and creative in problem solving and use initiative whilst maintaining exchange of information between the Engineering, Operations and Asset Optimisation team.
Ensure all reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is effective and accurately completed after each task.
