About the job

A DevOps Engineer is required to join a rapidly growing software company. Working with some of the world's best-known companies, your primary role will be to manage a support queue and be responsible for maintenance on the live environment. Expanding into global markets, the business is going through a period of rapid growth and expansion and has won numerous awards.

The role:

• The replacement and maintenance of the existing cloudbased infrastructures
• Maintaining existing security standards within a LAMP environment
• Reviewing and resolving error logs from centralised login systems
• Reviewing and responding to security vulnerabilities/breaches
• Reviewing and amending policies and procedures in line with an existing framework
• Documenting infrastructure build and best practice guides
• Responsible for the maintenance, review and issuing of access controls
• Assisting with the annual technical risk assessment
• Creating and updating internal documentation and wiki guides
• Part of a 24-hour high priority incident response team
• Cover emergency / urgent support issues on weekends and bank holidays as part of the on-call rota
• Maintaining and monitoring API and ftp feeds
You will have:

To be successfully within the role you will need to show knowledge and experience in the following specific skills:

• The successful candidate will hold excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrable with internal and external stakeholders
• A minimum of 3 years of experience administrating Linux (Centos/redhat).
• Minimum of 2 years AWS cloud experience
• Demonstrable experience of Ethernet, IP networking, routing and switching
• The technical knowledge and practical skills to perform structured vulnerability testing within a Centos/Redhat environment
• Scripting languages, for example PHP, Bash, Ruby or Python

Desirable / Advantageous Skills:
• Experience of working within a Laravel environment
• Certification Linux / UNIX
• Certified AWS system administrator
• Networking troubleshooting, Netstat/Wireshark
• Splunk administration
• Experience of working with Chef/puppet/Bamboo
• Experience of working with OpsGenie, site24x7
• Ethical hacking certification
• Experience of Atlassian products
