We now have an exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Planned Maintenance Technician for our Wastewater Networks team.
We are looking for candidates to be based in the following locations: Barnstaple, Plymouth, and Totnes.
This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2020
Joining our team as a Planned Maintenance Technician, you will support the Project Manager in co-ordinating sewer network asset improvements identified as part of the Maintenance Operation of Sewerage Strategy (MOSS). On a daily basis, your tasks will involve:
Providing and analysing information
Reviewing asset performance and identifying poorly performing assets
Proposing improvement actions (operational and capital, tactical and strategic) for improved performance.
Planning and overseeing the activities of the MOSS Investigation and Cleanse programme
Reviewing data and providing schedules and maps to contractor teams and documenting findings.
Programming CCTV crews, identification and budget check of appropriate interventions.
The Ideal Planned Maintenance Technician.
The successful candidate will be educated to HNC standard in a scientific discipline. You’ll have relevant experience and knowledge of sewer network operations coupled with the following skills and experience:
Knowledge and / or qualification in pipe sewer classification CCTV coding.
Some experience of working in a wastewater services operational environment.
Previous experience working on own initiative and/or working as part of a team.
Use of computer systems which will include both MS Office and Corporate applications.
Map/Plan reading skills to be able to interpret complex information in schematic form and construct recommendations.
Understanding and knowledge of Quality Management System requirements
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to analyse data to provide evidence for business decisions.
Please be aware that you must have full UK Drivers Licence and prepared to travel throughout the area.
