2nd Line Support Engineer
Due to strong organic growth we are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our team in Telford. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you will work as part of a talented service desk team. A typical day would involve investigating and resolving issues on a wide range of systems, actively managing and maintaining a list of assigned calls and keeping customers up to date. Your primary location will be our Telford office but you will have the opportunity to travel to other Nasstar offices and work at our customers sites.
We are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer who has experience of working on a service desk ideally with an IT outsourcing provider. Any experience managing technology migration projects would be an advantage. Technical skills provided by our 2nd Line Support Engineer are listed below. It is not essential that you have all these skills, we pride ourselves on the training we provide to upskill our Engineers at all levels. A good understanding of PC/Laptop hardware including MacWindows 7 OS, Windows 10 OS, MacOS & the MS OfficeWindows 2008/2012/2016 Server, Active Directory, Group PolicyExchange server 2010/2013/2016,Office 365, Citrix XenApp, Lync/Skype for BusinessTelephone systems (IP, SIP)Network devices including firewallsIP routing, IPSec, VPN, VLAN, LACP, LAN switches and routersDatacentres and virtualisation (VMWare & Hyper-V)The 2nd Line Support Engineer position offers a competitive salary and benefits package which includes 25 days holiday + bank holidays, TOIL to cash scheme, pension, platinum Perkbox membership and more.
