Job Description Position Title Department Reports to Administrative Assistant Operations Marcus Weston Employment Status FLSA Status Effective Date Temporary Full-Time Part-Time Non-Exempt Exempt 8/17/18 Position Summary Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilitiesinclude providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of theoffice. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related toorganization and communication. Responsible for confidential and time sensitivematerial. Administrative duties include general clerical duties, includingcopying, faxing, dictation, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, andfiling. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essentialfunctions include, but are not limited to the following: Coordinates and implements general office services such as appointment-setting, records control, and other administrative activities. Attend meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and provide post meeting summaries Take steps to assist meeting attendees with follow-through of meeting tasks Interprets and communicates operating policies Coordinates collection and preparation of financial and operations reports Locates and compiles information; records data communication and other sources of information Assembles and categorizes forms Assists with special events planning Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software Exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results impacting staff Other administrative duties noted in summary, or as needed or requiredMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma or GED (Two years college or equivalent work experience preferred) Three years of related experience or relevant coursework Able to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate Good oral and written communication skills Must possess excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills and PowerPoint knowledge Ability to type 35 cwpm Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email with high quality and in a timely manner Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described hereare representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfullyperform the essential functions of this position.
