SEN Teaching Assistant Autism
TimePlan Education are pleased to be working in partnership with an OFSTED Good SEN School situated in Haringey. There are excellent transport links available with a tube station nearby. Additionally, staff have access to onsite parking. The allthrough SEN school cater for young people on the Autistic spectrum as well as pupils with complex, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
The successful Teaching Assistant will assist the class teacher in supporting the social and academic development of pupils with ASD. The role will predominantly consist of supporting primaryaged pupils on a 1:1 basis, and occasionally in groups. Prior experience working with SEN pupils (particularly ASD) is desirable but not essential. However, if you are a nurturing and calm graduate with a passion to kick start a career in special educational needs, we would love to hear from you. The role commences January 2019 and will run for the whole of the academic year with potential to be extended.
To apply for this role, you will need to have:
The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff
Experience working with primary aged pupils (4yrs11yrs)
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
A current DBS
A consistent whilst nurturing personality
