Leading energy/construction company is seeking an Interim PQ Finance Analyst for 6 months based near Paddington Station, London.The ideal candidate will be available on short notice, have demonstrable experience in a similar role ideally within a related sector.The PQ Finance Analyst will be responsible for the financial reporting to the company management and executive board and also the general financial accounting and purchase ledger management. The PQ Finance Analyst will report to the Financial Controller whilst also integrating with rest of the business.DutiesPreparation of information for the monthly Board Reporting pack for presentation to the boardProvide detailed commentary and analysis in support of the monthly management reporting packsPresentation of monthly results and reporting project progressBusiness partner with project construction, operations and functional leads; provide robust monthly cost centre & business unit reports, reviews and analysisPlay a key role in developing budgets, forecast and re-forecastWork closely with budget holders, tracking spend v. budget and explain variance driversMonthly analysis and review of assigned balance sheet accountsPayments administration via banking platforms in respect of account payable invoices and other paymentsManage and run the Purchase Ledger, including resolution of queries, ensuring that all due payments are made on timeAssist with Cash flow forecastsAssist with preparation of monthly UK and France VAT returnsAssist with preparation of annual financial statementsProvide financial information to the wider finance team to support the monthly financial close processAssist with systems and procedures development, including development of effective internal controls in line with established best practiceAssist the Financial Controller with preparation for the year end auditAssist in the planning and preparations for operational readinessExperienceHighly organised, with excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels and different culturesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyExcellent time-management skillsAdaptable and flexible Has a continuous improvement mindset, strives to achieve efficiency and process improvements in their dutiesPQ CIMA/ACCAAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsExperience with SAGE 200 and SAPGood understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Exposure to working in a bi-national and multi-currency environmentExperience in Power/Construction/Engineering/Utilities industry advantageousTeam player with a collaborative work ethicOur role in supporting diversity and inclusionAs an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
