We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Scheduler at our Grimsby - Lakeside manufacturing site. Reporting to the Planning manager, you will work closely with the site team to create and manage robust production schedules.
This job will be working 5 days over 7 on a 40 hour contract working Monday to Friday
Requirements of the Job
As a Scheduler you will schedule production in line with best fit for the business. You will monitor the sub inventory stock report to identify where additional orders will be required and generate production performance reports, distributing to the factory and site management team. Your role will involve coordinating stock transfers between sites and regularly reviewing actual performance versus target performance and propose solutions working closely cross functionally to create a plan that is fit for purpose.

You will have worked as a Scheduler or equivalent, within a fast paced manufacturing environment, not necessarily within food manufacturing, although this would be a bonus. You will have strong numerical reasoning, the ability to challenge when necessary and an eye for detail. You will have great IT skills coupled with trend analysis skills and problem solving. You will also have a good awareness of KPIs and operational environments.
About our Grimsby Manufacturing Site
Grimsby employs 700 people predominantly on a 4/4 off shift which is supported fully by the site engineering team who cover days and nights. The site supplies 90% of all Morrisons seafood from two facilities, Pegasus which is the wet fish site processing Salmon & White fish and the other being Lakeside which is mainly packing and further processing such as smoking with a number of production lines.
Within Lakeside it covers Low risk, High Care and High Risk products. Both sites have state of the art world class processing equipment and has recently undergone significant investment in capital and infrastructure.
