About the job
Its an exciting time for Autosmart as we continue to grow; having realised £30million in sales in the last year and with ambitious expansion plans, we need an experienced IT Director to support further growth. The IT Director will have overall responsibility for leading the IT strategy development and its implementation, transforming the way IT services are delivered across the business. Your first priority will be to identify the proposed strategy needed to support the business objectives and build the department to implement this. You will ensure the strategy is scalable and robust yet cost effective and tailored to meet Autosmarts needs.As a seasoned IT Director, you will be the voice to the board on all IT matters and will be accountable for all decision making, strategy, projects and development within the department. You will be an inspirational leader with a strong background in IT service management, infrastructure and application management. A sound commercial acumen will mean you are comfortable recommending projects, future direction and priorities for the IT function, with expenditure justifications at board level. What youll be doing: • Engaging with stakeholders to develop an IT strategy in line with business objectives. • Building and restructuring the IT department to ensure effective service delivery. • Managing a team and supporting and coaching new talent. • Leading all IT support and development activities, including the use of external partners, taking a hands-on approach where necessary. • Identifying and implementing new or improved systems/technologies to support business strategies. • Preparing operating and capital budgets for the IT department. • Working with stakeholders to ensure completion of projects to time within budget.What youll know: • Project management, ideally with formal training • Business systems analysis and documentation • ERP (Sage 1000) • CRM (SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage) • Magento • Microsoft (Office, SharePoint, SQL Server)What we can offer you: • Salary negotiable depending on experience including car allowance and bonus • A varied and interesting role with a stable market leader • Great working environment; welcoming, collaborative and supportive • Company wide training programme to develop key skills • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays • Non-contributory; private health care, other medical benefits, critical illness cover and travel insurance • Generous contributory pension scheme • Life insurance at three times salary • Employee assistance programme • Generous staff purchase schemeWhat you need to do now:If you feel that this is your next role, please follow the link and upload your CV.
