Key2 is a leading, dynamic and innovative housing and support project for young people leaving care. We aim to provide a relaxed and fun approach where young people feel safe, valued and cared for.
We currently have 100 staff and house and support over 250 young people across the UK.About the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed support workers to join our project based in Oxford. This is a full-time post, 37.5 hours per week. There is a requirement to work flexibly as required including evening and weekend work and we operate an on-call rota for out of hours emergencies. Please note applicants are required to have a valid driving licence and permanent use of a suitable vehicle.
We will provide a full induction into the role and the service, with ongoing training.About you
You will have empathy and understanding of the needs of young people leaving care, and the barriers they face. You like being around and working with young people. You can show us you have experience of or the ability to provide high quality support whilst managing challenging situations. You will be committed to the organisation's ethos and bring enthusiasm and willingness to practical tasks. You can demonstrate an ability to maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with service users at all times.
You should have basic IT skills, excellent interpersonal skills and understand the importance of working within equal opportunities, safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines. You are able to communicate on different levels both verbally and in writing. You should have good life skills and some DIY experience or knowledge.About the pay and conditions:
Salary up to £24k dependent on experience
Annual car allowance £900 dependent on role
37.5 Hours per week - permanent post
25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
