About the job
As an experienced HCA, you will be responsible for caring for patients in a number of ways. Your duties will include monitoring and recording patients’ conditions by taking their weight, respirations, pulse and temperature. You will also assist with multiple clinical duties, check and order supplies, and help the Community Hospital to control and prevent the spread of infection.
When caring for patients, you will need to help them with eating and maintaining good personal hygiene, as well as providing them with reassurance when required and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable whilst in your care.
Promoting a positive mental attitude and physical lifestyle is also an important part of this role, particularly when patients may be feeling scared about any changes to their health.
This role will involve taking blood from patients.
The right candidate for this role will be kind, caring and organised, with a passion for healthcare. You will have a keen eye for detail, noticing any vital changes in patients that should be noted. As you will be communicating directly with patients, their relatives and carers, you should have outstanding communication skills with a personable nature.
You must also have:
Phlebotomy experience (taking blood)
A full UK driving licence and a vehicle
UK right to work
