  • Summary

  • This role will operate as an expert in the creation and management of IT investment portfolios and the upstream mobilization, creation and assembly of the IT enabled business-IT strategies from which those investment items are generated.

  • The Strategy Lead will have a history of managing IT strategy processes and creating associated deliverables for multi-million $ investment portfolios spanning international geographies and enterprise capabilities, from R&D, through manufacturing, supply chain, marketing and sales through to customer support

  • Essential Job Functions

  • Strategic Planning ITSP:

  • Manage Strategy Process: Working with IT Senior Leadership and IT Business Relationship Managers develop and operate a process to develop the cascade from business outcomes, through business strategy & capability, and then to business and IT initiatives required to deliver those outcomes / value. Ensure the strategy process is equally fit-for-purpose for product, waterfall and Agile funded initiatives.

  • Portfolio Management POMG:

  • Support Strategy Deliverables: Working with the CIO, VP IT Strategy & Architecture, Director, PPM and other senior IT leaders support and enable the process of IT Strategy definition and documentation, including developing data analysis in support of creating an actionable and investable strategy.

  • Methods and Tools METL:

  • Manage Capital Investment Portfolio: Develop and maintain a rolling 3-year portfolio of all IT Capital Investments able to operate with monthly granularity and with formal quarterly re-base lining and both quarter and annual planning views. Maintain risk and opportunity analysis. Ensure the portfolio process is equally fit-for-purpose for product, waterfall and Agile funded initiatives.

  • Benefits Management BENM:

  • Value Realisation: Develop and manage processes for value lever identification, value quantification, value measurement (direct / proxy) and post-delivery value realization auditing.

  • Requirements

  • Education: Candidates should be educated to degree level in a relevant field such as IT/Business or Finance.

  • Experience: Ideally candidates should demonstrate significant experience working as a strategy analyst / manager.

  • Candidates should have experience / capabilities in the following key areas:
    • Experience managing investment portfolios.
    • Experience managing strategy processes.
    • Financial analysis experience.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
