The Technical Manager will join an expanding team, covering projects and sites across the West Midlands, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
Your will be managing several sites with a pipeline for new developments in both 2019 and 2020, and your focus will be on Engineering and Adoptions. You will be managing these sites simultaneously, whilst using your Engineering knowledge to manage the projects through all stages.
This will include:
Evaluating various engineering options
Advising on the most efficient and costeffective solutions
Working with the land team to acquire commercially viable land
Contributing to the planning application process
Issuing drawings and information through specialist systems
Identifying and resolving potential technical constraints on land development, commission on ground investigation and remediation reports
Maintaining good relationships with statutory authorities
Managing consultants to make sure that design briefs, development plans and budgets are met to a high standard
Providing feedback regarding technical design matters to the Technical Executive
The successful Technical Manager will have:
Experience in a similar role, managing the Technical lifecycle of new home projects from end to end
An engineering bias, i.e. roads, sewers, land drainage and utilities
A strong Construction background
A sound knowledge of ground appraisals, producing and understanding geotechnical and environmental reports and remedial techniques
Excellent communication and project management skills
A passion for developing high quality new home developments
A relevant HNC/HND/Degree qualification
This role would suit someone with ICE or CIOB membership, with either chartered membership status or working towards it.
