We don't just talk about putting employees first. We know that Priory wouldn't exist without their combined energy, expertise and effort. So we invest heavily in training, provide first-class support, promote collaborative teamwork and give everyone on our team the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.
Centrally located with easy access to Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Ashford and Maidstone, The Priory Hospital, Ticehurst House has 70 beds across 3 service lines: Adult Acute, 2 young peoples wards (CAMHS) and Rehabilitation and Recovery.
We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialist mental health services for young people and adults in a safe and supportive environment. Providing quality, inspiring innovation and delivering value is what we set out to achieve at Priory Healthcare - enabling our patients to revieve a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams.
We are seeking a full time Consultant Psychiatrist to work on our CAMHS High Dependency Unit building on the success of our CAMHS services. You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients supervising the process of referral and admission including contribution to the preadmission assessments of young people. The role is a pivotal element of an established multidisciplinary team aiming to ensure that patients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme. If you are passionate about delivering first class CAMHS psychiatric care we would love to hear from you.
To join us, you must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties. You will certainly have experience at consultant level within the NHS, including the ability to conduct training.
You will be an excellent team player keen to participate in a multi disciplinary approach to assessment with a keen interest in developing services within a forward thinking CAMHS environment.
You will continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for psychiatry.
This is an excellent career opportunity offering a wide range of benefits including a competitive salary, a contributory pension scheme, supervision, career development, childcare vouchers and free car parking, generous annual leave and a subsidised staff restaurant along with the range of flexible benefits available to employees of the Priory Group.
From education to hospitals, care homes and secure facilities, the Priory Group of Companies offers individually tailored, multidisciplinary treatment programmes for those with complex educational needs or requiring acute, long-term and respite mental healthcare.
The integrated strength of each service provides a seamless transition for the individual as they progress between higher and lower dependency care and across services. This unique approach ensures that every individual has the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life with the Priory Group.
As 85% of our services are publicly funded and delivered in partnership with commissioners, our teams work with commissioning bodies across the country to provide transparent pricing models and evidence-based care programmes.
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland. We are an equal opportunities employer.
