Health Visitor - Sussex Community - Agency Contract


£26.00 per hour


  • This exciting role is perfect for a passionate Health Visitor who is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of others. Working predominantly with children between the ages of 0 and ten, you will work to deliver a universal Healthy Child Programme, targeting those with additional needs and ensuring families receive the best possible service.

  • You will be based in multiple settings, including patients' homes, children's centres, GP surgeries and various other locations within the wider community, so good access to travel is essential for this role.

  • The day-to-day duties for your position as a health visitor may include:

  • Providing post-natal support
  • Assisting parents with raising children, including those with special needs
  • Advising parents on feeding babies and young children
  • Finding ways to reduce illness and prevent injury for children
  • Providing advice on behavioural management

  • Your role is an extremely important one, as you will be giving children a strong start in life by working closely with parents to:

  • Assess their parenting skills
  • Analyse their family home life
  • Review any developmental requirements for children

  • On completing the above, you may need to arrange additional support for families and organise further meetings.

  • Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Nurse status with current NMC PIN
  • At least 1 years' experience working in the NHS
  • Access to travel
