Our client, an Entertainment Group, is a highly successful award-winning Creative Production Company providing full entertainment programmes to Cruise Lines and the Leisure Industry. They also provide role-play actors for training and education and they also own a brand new Bar/Restaurant in a Grade II listed building, refurbished to high specification in the bustling market town of Skipton.
They are now looking for an experienced Production Music Technical Executive, with a strong interest in all types of music that is organised and has impeccable attention to detail. You must have previous experience in live sound, theatre production and working on cruise ships.
You will have a great understanding of what it takes to work in a fast-paced environment where a desire to understand the subject matter and be passionately creative, is essential.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are able to work individually to achieve tasks and deadlines but also not afraid to work hands-on as a team assisting in other production tasks during busy periods.
This is an 18 month fixed term contract working on a full time basis. Extensive overseas travel is anticipated for this role to be successful.
Key tasks and responsibilities include (not limited to):
Working very closely with the creative team to assist in the selection and editing of source music material.
Work with MD/Vocal coach on selecting suitable keys for material based on signed off casting.
Commissioning of tracks from a suitable source or editing material from the most economical source. Manage the production process of music - commissioning of Vocal Arrangements from suitable arrangers or in house. Commissioning of BV sessions. Manage the production process of the completion of lyric packs to match new show material.
Manage the production of the Creation of spoiled tracks and the rehearsal studio music systems
Ensure the teams Dropbox rehearsal systems are updated. Develop SOP for the above in consultation with interested stakeholders. Manage the edits of rehearsal tracks to suit artistic developments, keep logs of the above and ensure master audio file is updated and logged.
Manage (along with MD) the process of LV recording, working & liaising with head of production on scheduling.
Manage post production process of LV recording. Manage and produce the creation of QLab files alongside AV technician for setups.
Manage process of creation when any of the above is unavailable.
Work with interested stakeholders on the condition of existing material and, with approval order/create replacement tracks. Manage the edits of rehearsal tracks to suit artistic developments, keep logs of the above and ensure master audio file is updated and logged.
Manage (along with MD) the process of LV recording, working and liaising with Head of Production on scheduling. Manage post production process of LV recording. Create QLab files alongside AV technician for setups.
Management of the music and AV facilities, ensuring all music/rehearsal material is available to creatives and teams.
Provide support and relevant creative input to senior staff in their musical specialism.
Work alongside the AV team to support the installation of musical technologies on-board the fleet and advice on best practices as appropriate.
Support the AV team in any audio setups they may require.
