Our client is an award winning rehabilitation provider, who are proud to be industry leaders in the Prosthetics and Orthotics market, with first class manufacturing facilities, distributing product throughout the UK and overseas, as well as being the leading supplier of services and products to the NHS.

They now have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Engineer, to join their busy Engineering team based in their rapidly growing facility in Basingstoke.

About the Quality Control Engineer:

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for pro-actively pursuing continuous quality improvement throughout the Company, aiding and assisting the Company in its journey to become "best in class".

This is an exciting and challenging role for a pro-active individual, who has proven experience in implementing control systems & procedures to manage variation, is fully conversant with engineering drawings/specifications and CAD models, with the ability to measure complex parts.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Engineer:

  • Using a variety of inspection equipment including CMM's, vision systems, roundness testing equipment, standard engineering & quality equipment.
  • Writing and proving out of own programmes.
  • Producing, interpreting and analysing CMM results.
  • Liaising with a variety of departments.
  • Working to tight time constraints and agreed priorities.
  • Assisting in the pursuit of companywide ownership and implementation of quality improvement & corrective action systems.

Requirements of the Quality Control Engineer:

Therefore they are ideally looking for a strong communicator with good interpersonal and analytical skills, who is able to work as part of a team or independently with minimal support.

The successful candidate will ideally be qualified to a degree level, or ONC/HNC equivalent; with knowledge of NIKON CMM's, CAMIO/MODUS software and an understanding of CMM programming philosophy.
