We are recruiting for an IT Systems Administrator to join our Group IT department at our head office in Crawley, UK. Please note that the ideal candidate will require to speak fluent German & English with the ability to have both written skills too, this will help to assist our German offices. Purpose of RoleTo assist the Head of ICT in ensuring that an effective IT service is provided globally by supporting all users and maintaining a healthy IT system. To propose and implement improvements to the IT infrastructure in worldwide. Key Job ResponsibilitiesAdministering, installing, upgrading, monitoring and maintaining multiple IT systems.Responsible for all functions associated with the design, implementation and maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, and logging, reporting and recovery proceduresDay to day infrastructure management and maintenanceResolving infrastructure queries Providing internal support functionInstallation, configuration, administration and maintenance of infrastructure back-end servers; email, ftp license, DNS, etc.License management and ensuring that is compliant with licensing and copyright lawsAdministration and maintenance of the backup ServerPreparation and maintenance of full documentation on all systems, procedures and solutions to issuesEvaluation, installation and configuration of new software and hardwareTroubleshooting and resolving issues with production and administration applicationsAssisting Junior Systems Administrator with user and desktop supportResponsible for security compliance, backup and other related operational areasResponsible to work on new lT projects to support future CF requirements.Additional technical expertise in related areas as and when needed.Communication Participate in conference calls to ensure effective sharing of information and full awareness of others in the IT team and other offices. Keep up to date with activities of other IT professionals using the appropriate network of communication. Treat sensitive data with care and in a confidential and professional manner.Maintain good communication with all end users and other members of the technology departmentOtherTo carry out any other duties within the competence of the role holder, as requested (including additional working hours as and when required).To travel when required in line with business needs.Be aware of and comply with the company policies.Keep up to date with industry changes, procedures and requirements relating to job role.Participate in a rotating out of hours duty rota within the Group IT teamWe offer a competitive salary and a great benefits package.
