About the job

I am currently recruiting for a Youth Coordinator working for a Housing Association based in Sevenoaks, Kent. This is a 12 month fixed term contract. The salary is £26,928 per annum. The working hours are Monday 8:45am - 5:15pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 11:30am - 8:00pm, Thursday 11:30am - 8:30pm, and Friday 8:45am - 4:45pm. The hours are working around evening club sessions.You will be responsible for ensuring a consistent delivery of activities and services across all of our clubs. Working with the young people that attend, you will also expected to plan, develop and deliver a varied and inclusive programme that responds to local and individual needs. With responsibility for 12 members of staff you'll be expected to identify their training and development needs while also ensuring that the children that attend the clubs meet the developmental targets that have been set for them. You'll be expected to have a robust system of monitoring in place and to report regularly on progress in each of these areas. You'll be expected to develop and maintain good working relationships with partners including those from parish councils and Kent County Council.Some of your key duties will include :Work across the 11-19s Projects to ensure that delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the projects are at the required standard.Support the Lead Sessional Workers and Youth Workers with administrative and youth work duties by resourcing and organising trips, programmes and activities which are safe and fun for children and young people.Assist in meeting the requirements of funders and commissioners by contributing to monitoring and reporting on project Key Performance Indicator's.Assist with consultation and development for proposed project work.Help maintain and cultivate safe environments for the projects whilst modelling and promoting positive behaviour and challenging negative behaviour.Develop and organise an exciting programme of activities to include sports, arts and creative skills, group work and personal development activities appropriate to this age group.Liaise with schools, partner agencies and other stakeholders and assist in representing the project at local forums. Share skills and experience of the team with others within the Community Directorate.Have a focus on learning by keeping up to date with developments in the youth work sector and changes in best practice.Ensure all necessary and appropriate safeguarding, data handling, health & safety and other legal requirements are in place to protect participants and staff.Any other reasonable tasks appropriate to the role as identified by the Youth Services Manager or Community Development Manager.Take part in supervision, training and staff meetings as required.*Comply with confidentiality and information sharing protocols as required.If interested please call Sam at Service Care Solutions on ##### ######or email your CV to #####@######.###
