A Catholic Junior School in Barnet are seeking an LSA to support a Year 5 student on a onetoone basis who has mild physical disabilities.
With an ethos driven by the Schools Catholic values the Teaching Staff aim to ensure children strive to be their best selves through education and selfappreciation. Offering brilliant classrooms, facilities and an exciting curriculum this lovely two form entry School wants children to excel in their learning as well as their physical and moral development. Longstanding Teachers and Senior Leadership have created an environment that is friendly and welcoming and ensures parents are a large part of the Schools progression.
This LSA role is centred on supporting a Year 5 boy who has physical disabilities. With no use of one of his arms this particular pupil is lovely, bright and has a passion for learning. However, with the right assistance and encouragement the Head Teacher is looking for an LSA who will push and guide him to achieving his full potential.
The ideal candidate for this LSA position will be versatile and be able to adapt classwork to meet his specific learning needs. As he has a such an eager and positive outlook to his education there will be little encouragement needed and the right LSA will be able to build a great relationship with him.
Due to his Literacy levels being lower, it is paramount that the right candidate has exceptional levels of English themselves and would be confident working 1:1 on this subject. A Degree in English or strong Alevel/GCSEs are important and CVs without will not be considered. Level 3 qualifications will also be accepted and the more LSA or TA experience a candidate has the better.
