Intermediate Project Manager
We are seeking an Intermediate Project Manager for a Multidisciplinary Consultancy based in Southwark. This Project Manager will have 45 years experience within Commercial projects and worked for a consultancy either as a Project Manager or an Employees Agent.
This intermediate Project Manager will report to an Associate within the Project Management team, with their role is to run projects across a variety of sectors within the business.
Preparing scopes of work, appointment documents, programmes, and communication strategies
Providing advice on procurement, contracts (JCT), logistics plans, construction plans and particular conditions
Preparing and evaluating the contractor and consultant selection process
Providing, understanding and commenting on documentation, including consultant appointments
Processing and developing change control documentation
Attending client meetings and reporting on project progress
Providing support to Cost Managers on projects
Providing input into final accounts and insight into loss and expense and LAD claims
Delegating work to junior team members where appropriate
Maintaining clients throughout the course of the project and post practical completion until issues of the defects liability certificate
What skills do you need in order to perform this role?
Demonstrate indepth knowledge of a Project Managers role, through well thought out work
Keep abreast of current business and industry news
Communicate clearly and concisely when dealing with clients, managing expectations effectively and sensitively
Manage own workload, to successfully run multiple projects at one time
Delegate project work effectively, in order to meet client objectives
Lead projects with limited supervision and guidance, delivering on time and within budget
Set a positive example to more junior members of the business
Actively engage in business development, seeking new ways to add value to the business
Previous experience and credentials
Relevant experience working as a Project Manager within a consultancy environment
Experience working on Commercial and mixed use projects
Experience of working as an EA (Employers Agent) would be advantageous (JCT/NEC)
This consultancy has a great reputation within the QS and PM markets, they have recently rebranded and had a revamp, moving to new, open plan and very cool offices. Taking this new ethos forward they are looking for dynamic and autonomous individuals that would like to climb the ladder, support is there but they also want an individual that can take the lead on multiple projects and clients alike.
