Experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer looking for a role which will offer a high level of autonomy and progression opportunities? The company is a leading specialist manufacturer who have a global reach and have an unapparelled market share within their sector in the UK. The company is very stable and has gone from strength to strength in recent years allowing them to create this new role as a key strategic hire within the business.
The Quality Engineer will report into the Quality Manager but work highly autonomously in taking a lead role in the upkeep and progression of Integrated Management Systems through the UK. The role will be primarily based in West Yorkshire with 12 days per month as a maximum spent on the companies one other site in the South. Your key responsibilities will be focused on managing the Quality Assurance procedures to ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards. Whilst the company does have strong systems already in place, they are keen to get someone on board who is able to push their standards forward and deliver continuous improvement to the QMS. You should have strong document management skills ideally using SharePoint or eDocs package.
You should be a qualified internal or lead auditor in ISO9001 up to 2015 standards. Experience of delivering audits, managing nonconformances, and dealing with senior management is essential. Ideally some knowledge of 14001, 18001 and PAS 99 would be preferred.
Key Requirements for the Quality Engineer are:
Prior experience in a Quality focused role including delivering audits and improving systems
Relevant engineering qualification with Internal or Leader Auditor qualifications
Comfortable with document management systems ideally SharePoint or eDocs
Awareness of SAP ERP, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and PAS99
