Waltham Forest Mental Health Services are provided in close conjunction with the North East London NHS Foundation Trust. Our services have a focus on recovery and maximising the independence of service users with significant mental health problems. We aim to offer a holistic and personalised service which is needs-led and geared towards enabling service users to fulfil their potential. We currently have a number of vacancies and would welcome applications from suitably qualified practitioners.
The Access and Assessment Team deals with initial referrals to mental health services and conducts screening and initial assessments. The team also works with service users for a limited period with a view to preventing the need for longer-term involvement.
The successful applicant will providesocial work support to the multi-disciplinary Single Point of Access,andprovide comprehensive Bio/Psycho/Social assessments on clients who are referred to the access service.
If not already qualified applicantsshould be willing to undertake training to become an Approved Mental Health Professional and once warranted, to participate in the borough-wide AMHP rota.
Professional development is encouraged, with participationinNELFT/LBWF annual appraisal and personal development process.
