Marston’s Brewery, Burton upon Trent – also known as the spiritual home of brewing, adopts the original art of craft brewing with the famous Burton Union Systems to produce its award winning beers! Voted Best Ale Brewer in 2018 by the Morning Advertiser, Marston’s PLC has a superb range of beers and is the largest brewer of cask ale in the UK.
As the Brand Manager for the Marston’s Brewery you will lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the strategic positioning of this iconic brand. Alongside the portfolio of beers that sit within it relevant to their specific target audiences. You will be the creative and commercial driving force behind them, working with internal and external stakeholders to excite our customers.
The role will be based in our brewery in Burton Upon Trent with travel to other Marston's brewery sites and customer locations across the UK.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of the brand plans, working closely with relevant parties and communicating to all sales channels via the Category Managers to agreed budget
Manage +£1m budget
Working with sales teams to identify and maximise opportunities.
Acquire new customers through campaign activities, consumer consideration and market awareness.
Building brand awareness through ATL, sponsorships, partnerships and events.
Working with the marketing manager and insights team to develop NPD and activate consumer insights.
Deliver a compelling marketing communication platform across digital, traditional media and social media.
Development of DE14, Marston’s Brewery’s experimental nano brewery
Managing agencies and overall brand performance.
Profile of the Ideal Applicant:
Have a passion for beer and the drinks industry.
Excellent project management, comfortable with short deadlines and time pressure.
Comfortable presenting at board or bar level.
Attention to detail but creative in planning.
Be a strong team player
Knowledge and understanding of the various Marston’s brands and the trading area that the individual brands dominate.
