About the job
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an ambitious business development manager to work for a market leading insurance business.
This role will be key in selling their insurance products to a variety of corporate clients varying in sizes from small brokers to large corporates. You will also be tasked with selling several products directly to the customer through telephone and online sales.
Our client is diversifying their product range so that they offer a greater level of service to their clients and customers. To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate a proven business development background and a strong desire to achieve targets.
Achieve prediscussed annual sales targets.
Identifying and maximise opportunities with your allocated clients for profitable organic growth.
Create new business proposals, including pricing, for presentation to suitable new business prospects.
Responsible for the day to day account management of selected top tier clients.
Attend appropriate business seminars and conferences building new relationships with key individuals within the market.
Build and maintain strong relationships.
Support the Sales Director on any ad hoc projects.
Proven track record in business development / new business.
A track record within insurance or financial services would be beneficial but not necessary.
Able to build and maintain strong relationships
Have a good understanding of business principles
Good negotiation skills
The ability to work through issues and problems
Excellent interpersonal skills
