About the job
We are working with a SEND school in Swindon and they are currently seeking a Teacher with EBD Experience to work with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. The school is a Specialist provision catering for pupils with BESD and Attachment Disorders. They require a Teacher that can teach generalist subjects to KS3 & KS4 students with experience of teaching children and young adults with challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties. The experience of working with people from similar background or challenges is highly desirable.
The position is fulltime and starts in January 2019 will be ongoing for the rest of the academic year of 2019. After the initial term, the role will be based on contract for the entirety of the academic year directly with the school.
Previous experience of working with young people with BESD is essential. It will be expected that candidates will have good communication skills and appropriate qualifications to be able to meet these high standards.
Experience with supporting young people with EBD in the past
Behaviour management Training or experience
Special Educational Needs Experience in a care or school setting
Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people with attachment disorder and challenging behaviour
Training in SEN.

- Be available fulltime
Have ability to manage challenging behaviour Must have QTS/QTLS
EBD experience Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained Have the legal right to work in the UK
