UX Designer - London
£40 to 45k basic + bonus + benefits
My client is a leading global technology consultancy firm who are looking for mid weight UX Designer.

You must already hold, or be eligible to hold, the appropriate level of UK Security Clearance to be considered. We will consider people based from anyone of our offices in South, Reading, London, Luton, Bristol, Bridgend, Birmingham and Leatherhead. You should be prepared to travel to client sites as required.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a UX designer you are all about understanding the science behind why we interact with platforms in various ways and challenging those findings with new-age streamlined intuitive automated designs; catering for multiple user's needs.
You'll understand the need for research and have the capabilities and necessary experience to implement research before you start your design. We work with a diverse list of clienteles throughout the public sector which will offer you plenty of challenges of a complex nature.
We are looking for UX designers with a demonstrable track record of experience in the commercial world, plus ideally experience in the public sector and Government departments. We are building an internal UX team to provide resources throughout our various projects in the business where the demand for UX experts is at a premium right now.
It is important you understand the life cycle of UX disciplines and methods. We are looking for designers who are able to direct and lead teams collaboratively throughout the process and who have experience, or an understanding of Lean UX in an Agile environment. You will have a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to design streamlined interfaces, together with a conceptual understanding in elevating your thinking to a higher level.
As a UX Designer you will lead the design with the project team, Product Owners & stakeholders and work closely with the BA's on delivering business requirements. You'll also guide the development teams through communication in producing brand/guidelines documentation, interactive prototypes and final visual designs.
Our Designers have both research and design responsibilities. In terms of research you will contribute to inception phases with clients in helping build future design requirements, conducting direct and indirect research and email surveys for users. You'll need to be able to run a full audit of the current platform we are redesigning and present research findings to teams and clients in Show & Tell sessions. You will also collate your findings to support Agile methodologies dividing your findings in to Quantitative and Qualitative research. Our Designers also help run Assumption mapping and Hypothesis statement sessions and compiling users' mental models to KPI 's and CSF's and produce user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes and final visual designs.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
As a UX designer we'd expect you to keep up to date on tech and UX trends in the industry and be able to lead the development team output from the discovery phase through to final delivery process. You'll need to be confident in dealing with Stake holders and Product Owners and justifying your decisions through means of prototyping and research. We need designers who are able to make decisions independently and guide our clients in the right direction, understanding the need to work collaboratively in an agile environment, whilst also able to balance the need to work independently at the same time. You must have a good understanding and experience of implementing the Build, Measure, Learn model.
We expect all our Designers to have a portfolio of work to show us just how good you are. You will have at least one project, demonstrating the full UX lifecycle, showing progression of ideas formulating iteratively throughout your designs. The portfolio will also demonstrate your expertise in producing interactive prototypes and show your experience with visualising data in a meaningful and Impactful way. Ideally it will also show that you create responsive designs showcasing your ability to design for all devices.
We need you to be proficient in the following design and wireframing tools in order of preference:
Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure RP, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, Sketch, LucidChart, UXPin and Moqplus
