Legacy Officer (6 Month Contract)
Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Are you a legacy administrator with a great eye for detail? Want to take on a highly-rewarding contract with a charity that is committed to saving lives in Yorkshire? If so, you may be the Legacy Officer our client is looking for.
About the Organisation
Our client is dedicated to helping people in and around Yorkshire avoid, survive and cope with cancer.
Since 2015 they’ve been working towards their goal of 2,000 fewer people dying of cancer every year in Yorkshire. Our client is working in local communities, raising awareness of cancer symptoms, making sure people attend their screenings and investing in leading-edge cancer research.
Now, they are looking for a Legacy Officer to join their friendly team in Harrogate and carry out their legacy administration.
- Salary of £25,000 - £28,000 DOE pro rata
- Offices within walking distance of the station (and on-site parking if you’d prefer to drive)

- 25 days’ holiday pro rata

Donations are integral to helping our client continue this life-saving work, which is why it’s integral that each legacy they receive is processed accurately and in-line with regulatory obligations. Hopefully, that’s where you come in.
In this varied contract, you’ll have the chance to work with a highly collaborative team who are passionate about what they do and are always willing to lend a helping hand to get the job done.

As a Legacy Officer, you’ll take ownership of the administration process for legacies.
In this key role, you’ll perform day-to-day administration tasks and ensure all contractual, legal and regulatory obligations for legacies are met.
To be considered as a Legacy Officer, you’ll need:
- Previous legacy administration experience
- Experience gained in the charity or legal sector
- A high level of IT literacy, including experience of using and maintaining a database
- A highly-organised approach
- Great communication skills
Our client would love to hear from you if you’ve worked as a Legacy Administrator, Legal Administrator, Giving & Legacies Officer, Legacies Officer, Giving Administrator, Donations Administrator or Administrator.
This is a full time role, however, for the right candidate, our client can offer this role on a part time basis, working a minimum of three days a week.
