We are working on behalf of a large school based in Warrington who seek to appoint a talented and dynamic Teacher of English to work within our hugely successful English Department. They have an excellent faculty with a strong leadership team. The Teacher of English position is available ASAP
The successful applicant who will be able to offer English to Key Stage 5 to join a supportive and highly successful department. Students follow the AQA syllabus at GCSE and at A level. The English department achieves outstanding results at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level and all classes are taught in mixed ability groups from Year 7 onwards.
Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career including NQTs and both British trained teachers and Overseas Trained Teachers will be considered for this position.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or (QTLS)
Relevant classroom experience
Sound Curriculum knowledge
Committed to securing high levels of progress, achievement for students
Strong interpersonal skills
Flexible hours/working patterns
The opportunity to cover a variety of subjects across the national curriculum and year groups
Great experience for somebody looking to do a PGCE
Ongoing CPD opportunities such as a TeamTeach (positive behaviour management strategies) qualification and Cover Supervisor training course.
