Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking to join a thriving innovative engineering manufacturer who are market leaders in their chosen field and supply special purpose machinery to prestigious clients across the globe.
Based in Dewsbury with over 100year experience within designing, Building and supplying special purpose machinery to blue chip companies across the globe, the position will offer a Skilled Mechanical Fitter the opportunity to join a leading Engineering business that offers development and career opportunities couple with good working conditions.
The role/ responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter
The appointed Mechanical Fitter will be building a range of new machinery from scratch, experience of stripping, inspecting and repair would be beneficial. You will select parts, follow engineering drawings and work instructions to assemble and test machinery.
The Mechanical fitter should ideal have previous experience of building special purpose machinery or Machine tools.
Building new machinery according to engineering drawings and build instructions
Post build testing of completed machinery and subsections of machinery
Report writing on faults as appropriate after analysing for root cause of failure after testing
Responsible for the general cleanliness and care of personal workbench area and that of the main workshop
Minimum of 2 years experience in the assembly and testing of OEM (original equipment manufacturer) machinery
Combined education and onthejob training within an engineering background.
Apprentice trained engineer (NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification minimum).
To be successful for this Mechanical Fitters role, youll have previously worked within the engineering industry and ideal have previous experience of building special purpose machinery or Machine tools . Applicants must be flexible with working hours as overtime is currently available daily and on weekends.
This role is offered on a Permanent or Contractual basis paying £14.31 per hour with overtime at 1.5 through the week and Saturdays.
