Reference: A4057Description: The role of Marketing Assistant sits within the Development Office team within the External Relations Directorate. External Relations is a dynamic and creative Directorate which is responsible for the University's external engagement and communications. It encompasses the Development Office, Marketing Operations and Media and Communication.
Under the direction of the Marketing Officer, you will provide marketing and administration support for the promotion of Peninsula Arts, the public Arts programme of the University, and contribute to a customer focussed, cost effective and efficient external relations service.
The Development Office team comprise campaign development, event management, alumni, stakeholder and partnership engagement. The team focus particularly on strategic level University projects which form the University's overarching Campaign. One of these projects is Peninsula Arts.
You will contribute to the team by providing tactical marketing support to deliver an arts programme to an internal and external audience.
The role will include:Design and print: administration and distributionCopy editing and proof readingImage bank administrationWeb, social media and e-communicationsLiaison with internal and external stakeholders and suppliersEvent support
The required skills are:A Level or equivalent standardExperience of working in an office having undertaken a wide variety of both marketing and general office and administrative tasksGood knowledge of Microsoft packages: word, excel and outlook Good communication skills both written and verbal Excellent organisational skillsAccuracy and attention to detailExperience of working to deadlinesAbility to prioritise own workload

This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours a week and is fixed-term until 30 June 2016
