The RoleWe have a fantastic role available for an experienced and innovative Usability Manager to join our team in Cambridge, UK. This is a unique opportunity to help shape CMR Surgicals state-of-the-art surgical robotics system through working closely with both a world-class team of engineers and with the surgeons, nurses and healthcare professions that will be using it.ResponsibilitiesGuide, coach and mentor the team ensuring milestones and timelines are maintained and metDevelop and implement creative solutions based on different technologies and key requirementsContribute to the human factors engineering efforts on CMRs clinical systemHelp to ensure CMRs clinical system meets the needs of the Surgeons, Nurses and Healthcare Professionals who will work with itLower the risk to patients associated with user errors and misuse of CMRs clinical systemEngineer subsystems and interfaces to improve user experience whilst at the same time considering the cost and manufacturability of the designSupport the planning, moderating and analysing of risk and opportunitiesSupport the planning, moderating and reporting of formative and summative usability studiesAbout YouTo join our world-class team, youll be an excellent team-player, comfortable working in a non-hierarchical environment and enthusiastic and just as keen as we are to produce a world-class medical product. Specific skills and attributes we are looking for include:Previous experience in leading a team to meet objectives working to maintain engagement in a dynamic, challenging and exciting environmentStrong interpersonal skills across a diverse range of engineering, clinical and business disciplinesArticulate; to ensure we excel, youll need to be a strong communicator (whether thats in what you say or what you write) with excellent attention to detailNot only will you be comfortable observing and interviewing people in clinical situations, youll also be great at putting them at easeA proven ability to synthesise a lot of information and distil it into meaningful actionsA track record of consistently producing valuable, well-written, deliverables containing solid and actionable recommendationsIdeally youll have a 2.1 or above in a relevant discipline, with 3+ years industry experience.
