A fabulous SEN school is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Support Assistant to work with children with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. You will be working closely with your students to ensure they can access the interactive and practical curriculum whilst promoting their independence and tracking their development. This school is set on beautiful, country grounds and has a team of supportive, friendly and approachable staff who will offer training and guidance if and when you need it.

2:1 staff to pupil ratio
Onsite team of occupational, physio and speech and language therapists
Your responsibilities will include:
Promoting a caring environment and providing a high standard of care
Ensuring effective communication with staff and students
Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote active listening and development
Maintaining high standards of safety
Implementing students care plans appropriately
Taking part in recreational activities such as pottery, sewing and D&T
An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
Own means of transport is essential
At least two professional references
Excellent communication skills
A passion for and an interest in SEN and physical disabilities
Able to work flexible shift patterns
GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
