JustOT is recruiting for a senior paediatric OT for a Family Centre in North London that brings together early education, childcare, health and family services. Visitors can benefit from the Centres many facilities and groups including the Nursery, Binoh, Unity and Family Support, as well as a sensory room and the deli, where food and drink is prepared by service users.

Salary up to 32K DOE
Full time 35 hours
The job purpose
The Occupational Therapist will provide intervention to children with special educational needs (aged 2 to 11 years), in mainstream settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The role will consist of managing an independent caseload of children, providing assessment, treatment, home/school programs, and will include the opportunity to provide training into schools.
The post offers the opportunity for both clinic and schoolbased interventions. Applicants should have proven clinical experience in paediatrics.
Your main duties will include
1.To independently and effectively manage assigned caseload and own appointment timetable, in order to achieve agreed productivity levels. To maintain high standards of time management.
2.To maintain accurate, succinct and timely records in accordance with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and HCPC guidelines. To adhere to internal Norwood policies and procedures for administration, IT, record keeping, data management and billing. To ensure adherence to all legal requirements for data management and storage. To support L1 team members to do so.
3.To independently undertake occupational therapy assessment, using standardised and nonstandardised assessment and demonstrating soundadvanced clinical reasoning for assessment recommendations. To support the development of assessment skills of L1 team members.
4.To deliver occupational therapy to individual/groups of children and young people with special educational needs, and provide advice and support to their families and schools. To provide these services at the centres and at schools.
To be considered for the post you must be registered with the HPC, have a BSC in occupational therapy, proven experience working with children of special needs status as a occupational therapist, clean driving licence, and training in Bobath and or Sensory Integration is desirable.
