Cleaners, Permanent Part Time Hours & Casual Contracts
Salary: £10.20 per hour, in line with the London Living Wage

Role 1: Part Time Cleaner working 17 hours per week (£9,018.80 per year), working 3 or 4 hours each day (Mon to Wed 5pm 8pm, Thurs 4.15pm 8pm & Fri 3.45pm 8pm)
Location: The Foundry, 17 Oval Way, London, SE11 5RR

Role 2: Part Time Cleaner working 15 hours per week (£7,956.00 per year) working (Monday to Friday 17.30 20.30pm)
Location: The Green House, 244254 Cambridge Heath Road, London, E2 9DA

Role 3: Casual (Zero Hours) required to cover weekdays any time between 07.30 20.30pm for a max of 7.5hrs a day. Working occasional hours as required.
Location: The Green House, 244254 Cambridge Heath Road, London, E2 9DA

All of our centres are managed to minimise energy use, waste, car travel and the use of harmful materials while offering tenants modern, affordable and flexible space managed in a transparent and supportive way.

The Post
You will be responsible for cleaning of the communal areas as well as office areas in the companys properties in London in line with an agreed schedule.

Clear guidelines will be given as to the materials and procedures that the company chooses to use, and you are expected to follow these.

In general, these duties will include:

  • Ensuring that waste and recycling are put out for collection where applicable
  • Vacuuming carpets & Mopping floors
  • Cleaning surfaces (including internal glazing on doors etc)
  • Replenishing and refill consumables in the buildings including toilet rolls, refill hand soap, washing up liquid and others as appropriate
  • Ensuring limescale remover is applied to on kettles/taps/sinks/toilet and other areas as appropriate
  • Dusting stairs window ledges / balustrade / fire extinguishers / signage
  • Cleaning toilets/showers
  • Cleaning kitchens and fridges
  • Organize cleaning materials upon delivery.
  • Compliance with Health and Safety legislation
  • COSHH awareness (regulations regarding hazardous substances).

Other tasks as deemed necessary by your linemanager such as:

  • Covering for other cleaners in other London buildings and while they are on leave / training / other
  • Order/ organising cleaning materials upon delivery
  • Other tasks or projects in line with the level of the role.
  • Attending company events and trainings.

You are expected to be present at work during the time agreed in your timetable.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of cleaning.
  • Need to be a selfstarter but with the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Will take a flexible attitude to your work.
  • Have some knowledge and interest in social and environmental issues, particularly recycling.
  • Basic Health and Safety awareness and knowledge

Contractual Details
These are permanent contracts with a three month probationary period. The roles are part time based on either 0, 15 or 17 hours a week with 25 days holiday entitlement prorata for the first year prorata as well as statutory bank holidays.

The salary meets the London Living Wage (currently (£10.20 per hour). This rate increases annually during April each year.
