About the job
Our lovely practice is on the lookout for a new vet due to one of our existing vets sadly leaving us for relocation reasons. It's a very difficult task finding a replacement for such a valued member of the team but we are sure there must be some more great vets out there! We feel that we do need somebody with at least two years' experience and being as client focused as we are, excellent communication skills are a must.
The successful applicant will join a 4.5 vet team with a vastly experienced array of vets already in place; this includes two vets with 10+ years' experience and a surgery certificate holder.
The rota we have is really sociable in our view and it consists of a 4 day working week with only 1 in 4 weekends. Even though the duty weekends are quite infrequent, we do feel that it's massively important to recharge afterwards, so the following Monday and Tuesday would be provided as days off. Although we do use an OOH's provider from 9pm onwards we do keep non-critical in-patients in the practice so there would be one night per week where the on duty vet was required to be in charge of the in-patients. On this same evening, the on duty vet would also be on call from 6:30pm-9pm.
A very generous salary package will be on offer for the best candidate which will also include additional bonuses for any OOH's work carried out. We offer 5 weeks holiday as well so plenty of time to jet off and get some sun!
